General Information

ERCNSW provide programs and support for young people aged 6-15 years of age. The target for these programs are young people who would not otherwise be able to access and enjoy such an experience. At this time in their lives they may be experiencing some form of disadvantage or marginalisation, through financial or emotional hardship, social or geographical isolation.

ERCNSW also caters for some challenging behaviours and works to assist all participants to enjoy their time on camp.

  • Through our supervision ratio of 1:1, we aim to meet the many and varied needs of the young people in our care.
  • We aim to place all referrals in a camp, however we cannot guarantee that all will be able to fit into a program.

Our camps are not designed to be primarily a respite programs for families, but for children who are:

  • Suffering from significant marginalisation and/or disadvantage (this must be made clear in referrals)
  • Who are in the age range specified for each camp
  • Who do not have access to recreational experiences
  • Who can manage their own personal care in an manner consistent with their age
  • Whose behaviours can be managed in a large group environment

Please remember our camps are run primarily by young adult volunteers.
